This is a free festival, there is not an admission charge, however all donations are greatly appreciated to help cover the festival expenses. Carl Junction, Missouri, is located 8 miles northwest of Joplin, on Highway 171. Watch for the signs. See You There. The Carl Junction Bluegrass Festival is always on the 4th Saturday in September.

The CJ Bluegrass and Crafts Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Center Creek Park. The festival will be featuring Bluegrass music by several bands including The Last Resort, The Meyers Family, Stonebrook, The Claytons, Bluegrass Brigade, Al Brumley Jr., Joellen Doyle, The Millers, Missouri Mountain Gang and Kentucky 31. For information about the Bluegrass Festival please contact Festival Coordinator, Pat Smith at 417-623-7541. Also contact Band Coordinator, Randy Corbin at 417-649-7558, Craft Coordinator, Dave Haralson at 417-649-7570, or Car Show Coordinator, Art Maddox at 417-649-7333. Concessions, crafts, chili cook off and Children's activities must pre register.

In addition to the Bluegrass Music, there is a Car Show, Chili Cook off, Crafts, and numerous Children's activities, as well as jamming in the shade. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy this fun filled day. The music is from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
