Marion L. Cox Softball Tournament

The Marion L. Cox Memorial Softball Tournament will take place on June 25 at 4:00 P.M.
This softball tournament is a memorial scholarship fundraiser and is intended to be a family-friendly event.

Registration cost per team will be announced soon.

This year’s event will feature a Fire/EMT division, along with a men’s and co-ed’s competitive divisions. This is a perfect chance for your civic group, church or family to take part in the event! There is a minimum two-game guarantee unless teams request to only take part in one game.

All proceeds will go to the Marion L. Cox Memorial Scholarship Fund to benefit fire safety students at the Carl Junction Fire Academy that is offered each fall and spring semester at the Carl Junction Fire Department. Marion Cox was a member of the Carl Junction and Joplin, MO fire departments, as well as METS. He lost his life in a kayak accident in 2008.

This tournament is a memorial scholarship fundraiser and is intended to be a family-friendly event. Admission is free to the public. Proceeds from Concession sales benefit the Marion L. Cox Memorial Scholarship Fund to assist fire safety and EMT students.
