October 6, 2009Approved MinutesThe Carl Junction CityCouncil met in regular session on Tuesday October 6, 2009 at 7:00 PM at CityHall. Mayor Pro-Tem Walter Hayescalled the meeting to order with the following present: Don Marshall, CarlSkaggs, Dee Lynn Davey, Walter Hayes and Wayne Smith. Mayor Mike Moss, Aldermen Richard Zaccardelli, Steve Danielsand Mark Powers were absent. Alsopresent were City Administrator Steve Lawver and City Attorney Mike Talley. City Clerk Maribeth Matney was absent. Carl Skaggs motioned to approve the agenda. Dee Lynn Davey seconded. All in favor. No opposed. Carl Skaggs motioned to approve the consent agenda. Don Marshall seconded. All in favor. No opposed. PUBLIC FORUM GaryStubblefield, 200 Karen Drive, addressed the council to remind them this isNational Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our Postmaster Sharon Clark exceeded last year’s goal and hopes to dothat again this year. He islooking forward to good participation this month. REPORTS The council reviewed the Administration report. Steve informed our council of our trailopening. Public Works report – there was nothing new to report. Police Department report – there was nothing new to report. Court report – pointed out the line item on the court report showingthe back taxes and utilities she collects. COMMITTEE REPORTS The Nuisance Committee had nothing to report. The Long Range Planning Committee had nothing to report. They will be meeting Monday 10/12/09 at6:00 PM. The Budget/Finance Committee had nothing to report. The Human Resource Committee had nothing to report. The Public Facilities Committee had nothing toreport. The Code Review Committee asked that Mike Talley look at a Jakebrake engine ordinance. Walterasked Mike Talley to look at rescinding our funeral picketing ordinance. The Citizen’s for Better Life had nothing to report. Steve Lawver is recommending that we list our properties for salewith Keller Williams. Walterdisclosed that he works for Keller Williams. NEWBUSINESS There was no new business. ADJOURNMENT Dee Lynn Davey motioned to adjourn the meeting. Don Marshall seconded. All in favor. No opposed.
