Parks & Recreation
Five public parks with tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, basketball courts and volleyball pit; public swimming pool; Bulldog Youth Association offering football, soccer, baseball, softball, wrestling and basketball programs. The parks are scattered throughout the city making access to any of them easy for our residents.
Frank Dean Sports Complex features 5 baseball/softball fields and 8 soccer fields.
Center Creek Park features the municipal swimming pool, 2 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, a sand volleyball pit, 3 picnic shelters and 3 age appropriate playground areas plus a large semi-wooded area with scattered picnic tables and of course you can always fish from the banks of Center Creek. This park is also home to the annual Bluegrass and Crafts Fall Festival. This annual festival draws thousands of people to the park to listen to bluegrass music, enjoy a chili cook-off, visit the craft booths and look at the variety of cars and trucks entered in the car show. Scheduled annually for the 4th Saturday in September.
Memorial Park features a baseball field, picnic tables and a playground area.
Country Club Park has a picnic shelter, playground equipment and a large open area that is used for youth soccer, football and baseball practice.
Four Seasons Park contains playground equipment.
